Removing defamatory content online: retail health service brand


An online activist and online troll had published defamatory content about a retail health service brand. The content was appearing on a blog and Facebook page – ranking on Page 1 of a Google search for the business – and it was losing millions of online transactions as a result.


We contacted Facebook (Dublin) with a take down request. The Facebook page was then removed in its entirety.

A spam report was sent for the blog to devalue its listing. We then optimised the company’s existing online assets and created new online profiles where required to promote the business.


As well as removing the defamatory social account and blog, we created and promoted relevant content in the form of news, articles and blogposts which worked to replace negative listings in the search results.

We promoted the company’s existing websites and online profiles, which worked to rebuild their online reputation, improving online conversions, their profile and transactions.
