Econsultancy has featured Igniyte’s findings that Marketing & Advertising employees are most likely to allow their personal and professional social media lives to cross over.

In its round-up of the week’s best digital marketing statistics, Econsultancy featured Igniyte’s research into the overlap of employees’ personal and professional social media lives.

The study coincides with the release of Igniyte’s guide on Protecting Your Company’s Reputation From Employee Risk, which details the risk posed to companies by not having social media guidelines or processes in place for employees.

The study looked at the social media use of employees across eight different sectors in the UK, and unsurprisingly, found that the Marketing & Advertising industry were the most likely to merge their personal and professional online lives, with one in 10 even admitting they used their work email address to log into a personal social media account.
