Technology publication, The Stack, has published the findings of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation into fake online reviews and has used Igniyte’s contributing research.
The Stack has reported on the initial CMA investigation findings that reveals the main areas of concern: businesses writing or commissioning fake negative reviews; businesses writing or commissioning fake positive reviews; review sites boosting positive reviews and suppressing reviews; and review sites obscuring negative reviews.
The article points to Igniyte’s Reputation Report research which was used in the CMA investigation. The CMA contacted Igniyte in February at the launch of the investigation and requested our contribution in initial discussions and our research.
