Our client – a retail health service brand – was facing defamatory content online instigated by an activist and online troll, who had set up a blog and associated Facebook page using the company’s name to publish information across various social channels.
The blog and Facebook page were showing on page one of Google rankings for their main search term causing the company to lose millions of online transactions.
Facebook (Dublin) was contacted and given a takedown request – the page was then removed in its entirety. A spam report was sent for the blog to devalue its listing. We then optimised existing online assets and created new online profiles where required.
As well as removing the defamatory social accounts and content, we created and promoted relevant content in the form of news, articles and blog posts which worked to replace negative postings in the search results.
We promoted the company’s existing websites and online profiles which worked to build back the online reputation of the company, improving online conversions and the profile of the business.
